Budget-friendly meals I make on repeat!

Hi friends,

Life feels like one giant balancing act these days, doesn't it? If feeding your family on a budget is taking up space in your brain this week, I hope today's email might help.

Now, if you're looking for "5 meals that cost less than $0.25 a serving", this email isn't it. What I DID do, though, is round up a few recipes that will help you stretch your grocery budget all the while creating a nourishing and tasty meal for you and your family!

This Easy Homemade Rotisserie Chicken is a staple in my weekly meal plan year round. Make it and serve for your Sunday chicken dinner or use it during the week in one of the dishes pictured below - this Quick and Easy Chicken Fried Rice or this Creamy One Pot Chicken Enchilada Pasta!

Lentils are a great food to purchase from a bulk section and make an inexpensive protein alternative! This Easy One Pan Lentil Daal is a quick and healthy dish that's packed with flavour and pairs perfectly with rice (buy the big bag for your pantry!).

Another recipe using lentils, these Slow Cooker Vegan Chili Stuffed Sweet Potatoes also uses white beans. This meal is full of fibre, protein, and veggies. Dress it up with toppings of your choice!

This Easy One Pot Italian Sausage Pasta is a great way to get some veggies in your pasta and uses many ingredients you probably have on hand (just add in that sausage). This dish comes together in just 30 minutes!

If you're looking for another meaty main ingredient, pork has generally been a budget-friendly these days. This Easy Instant Pot Pulled Pork recipe is juicy, dripping with flavour (literally), and it cooks in an hour! (No Instant Pot? Try this slow cooker version.) Use your favourite barbecue sauce or try our Homemade Honey Garlic Barbecue Sauce.

Cheers,

Chrissie Baker
