5 summer salads to try this month

Hi friends,

Is it time to change up your summer salad routine? Move beyond the tossed salad with today's recipes! From grilled ingredients to fresh, from fruit and veg to proteins, there's something for everyone below.

This Halloumi Salad makes a great main dish. New to halloumi? It's a semi-hard cheese with a high melting point, making it perfect for grilling! Add it to mixed greens with fresh veggies and crispy chickpeas, and you've got a delicious new salad to add to your table. Watch how I make it below!

Sweet meets savoury with this Watermelon Salad. Bursting with summer flavours, fresh mint and tangy feta, this salad takes minimal time to prep and is oh-so refreshing!

Pro-tip: This salad is best served chilled. Refrigerate the watermelon in advance of preparing. To keep things extra cool, chill the serving bowl in advance.

This Summer Berry Salad with Creamy Lemon Vinaigrette is one of my warm weather favourites! The addition of creamy goat cheese and the crunch of sliced almonds brings delicious texture and flavour to this salad that's basically summer in a bowl.

Pro-tip: You can make this salad up to 24 hours in advance. Just prepare the salad and the dressing separately. Dress and toss just before serving.

Hearty and filling, this delicious Tuna Salad comes together in under 25 minutes! Tossed with a fresh and creamy dressing (hello lemon and dill!), this pasta salad is one that tastes even better the next day. (You know we love a salad you can make ahead!) Watch how I make it HERE!

This Easy Mediterranean Chickpea Salad is another salad that's a great make ahead option. It's FULL of fresh flavour - from the veggies to the herbs to the easiest dressing you'll ever make, with chickpeas adding protein and texture.

Pro-tip: Not eating this salad right away? Reduce the moisture by leaving those cherry tomatoes whole!

Cheers,

Chrissie Baker
